CABOT EMPLOYEE IN PERU TREK TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CANCER CHARITY

An employee from Cabot Financial Group, market leader in debt purchase, is stepping out across the mountains of Peru as part of a marathon effort to help raise funds for the Helen Rollason Heal Cancer Charity.

Annette McInery, who works as a Dialler Co-ordinator for Cabot Financial, is taking on the challenge to support the company’s chosen charity of 2008. Annette has already raised more than £2200 and is well on her way to achieving her target of raising £3000. Much of the money raised so far has been through events held at Cabot, such as dress down days and a quiz night.

Annette aims to walk up to eight hours a day before she leaves for the arduous trek, which is set to take place between 28 March and 6 April 2008, in order to be in the necessary physical condition for the trip. Annette, from Chatham, said, “We’ll be walking for ten hours a day in Peru, much of it at altitude, so I have a plan to stick to in order to get myself in shape before we set off.”

Cabot Financial is proud to support Annette in her challenge of a lifetime and the trek is something that she has been looking forward to. “I’ve done some travelling before,” explains Annette, “but work and other life commitments had caught up with me. But this year I decided I wanted to do something different and when Cabot Financial became involved with the Helen Rollason charity, I realised this was the perfect opportunity to travel again and raise funds for a very worthy cause.”
